If you've cleared MH CET Law 2026, Round 1 is where things kick off.

Why the Dates Got Revised
A lot of law colleges across Maharashtra are still waiting on fresh approvals from the Bar Council of India, and that's really what's driving this revised timeline. By pushing the schedule slightly, the CET Cell is giving students a chance to add these newly approved colleges to their preference lists once the clearances actually come through — rather than locking in choices before all the options are even on the table.
Who's Eligible
- Only candidates who've cleared MH CET Law 2026 for the 3-Year LLB course can take part.
- Already-registered candidates simply log in and fill their preferences.
- Fresh registrations are accepted only for Round 3, until September 5, 2026.
- Reserved category candidates must hold valid caste and category validity certificates — without these, reservation benefits won't apply.
How to Fill the Option Form
- Visit the CAP portal at llb3cap26.mahacet.org.
- Log in with your CET application number and password.
- Open the Option Form tab on your dashboard.
- Choose colleges and courses in order of preference.
- Save your choices and lock the form before the deadline.
- Download the confirmation copy for your records.
Don't Forget These Documents
When it's time to report to your allotted college, come prepared with:
- MH CET Law 2026 scorecard
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and passing certificates
- Graduation degree and consolidated mark sheet
- Domicile certificate of Maharashtra (if claimed)
- Caste certificate, caste validity, and non-creamy layer certificate (if applicable)
- Persons with Disability certificate (if applicable)
- Aadhaar card and passport-size photographs
- Printout of the seat allotment letter
Colleges are strict about this — no late uploads are accepted, so it's worth having both physical and scanned copies sorted well in advance.
What You Should Do Right Now
- Log in to the CAP portal and lock your Round 1 option form before August 11.
- Check the allotment result after 5 PM on August 14.
- Report to your allotted college between August 17 and August 20.
- If you don't land a seat, track vacancy updates for Rounds 2 and 3.
