This year, nearly 2.8 lakh students have already registered for TNEA counselling, making it one of the largest engineering admission processes in the country. Admissions will be offered for BE, B.Tech, BE (Sandwich), and Integrated MTech programs across government, government-aided, and participating engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.
Unlike many other states, Tamil Nadu does not conduct a separate entrance examination for engineering admissions. Students are selected based on their Class 12 marks through a normalization process.
