The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) in Madhya Pradesh has started accepting registrations for the 2026 counselling process for Master of Architecture (M.Arch), Master of Technology (M.Tech), and Master of Planning (M.Plan) courses.

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) in Madhya Pradesh has started accepting registrations for the 2026 counselling process for Master of Architecture (M.Arch), Master of Technology (M.Tech), and Master of Planning (M.Plan) courses. Candidates can register on the official website at dte.mponline.gov.in. The final date to register for Round 1 is June 28, 2026. The window to fill in choices for Round 1 will remain open until July 2, 2026. The first merit list is expected to be released on July 3, 2026.Seat allotment letters can be printed from July 8 to July 13, 2026.

Who is eligible for the MP PG counselling 2026?

The counselling process covers admissions to postgraduate technical courses offered by government, autonomous, and private institutions in Madhya Pradesh. For M.Tech, candidates must have a valid GATE score or qualify the state-level PGETA exam.M.Arch candidates need to hold a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree from a Council of Architecture (COA) approved institution. M.Plan candidates should have a Bachelor of Planning or a B.Arch degree from a recognized institution. Candidates in the sponsored or working professional category have separate eligibility under the same counselling process.It is important to check the official rule book on the DTE website for details about category-specific relaxations and reservations.

How to register for the MP M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan counselling 2026?

The registration process is entirely online and is conducted on the DTE's MP Online portal. Candidates must complete the registration, upload documents, and pay the fee before the deadline.Late submissions will not be accepted. 

  1. Visit the official website at dte.mponline.gov.in.
  2. Select the relevant postgraduate course under Post Graduate Programs.
  3. Click on the Apply link and fill in the new registration form.
  4. Upload the required scanned documents in the specified format.
  5. Pay the registration fee online and download the confirmation.

How to fill choices and lock preferences?

The choice filling process begins one day after registration starts and runs simultaneously with the registration window. Candidates can log in to add, remove, or rearrange their preferred institutes and branches.Edits to choices are only allowed during the two-day re-choice period after the registration window closes. Seat allocation in Merit List 1 will be based on the locked choices and the candidate’s merit rank. It is recommended that candidates add as many real and valid choices as possible to increase their chances of getting an allotment.

Action Plan for Candidates

  1. Visit dte.mponline.gov.in and read the rule book for your course stream.
  2. Have your GATE/PGETA scorecard, qualifying degree, category certificate, and domicile proof ready.
  3. Complete Round 1 registration by June 28, 2026.
  4. Log in and lock your preferred institute and branch before July 2, 2026.
  5. Download the merit list 1 on July 3 and the allotment letter between July 8 and July 13.
