The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially started the next phase of the KCET 2026 admission process by releasing the UGCET 2026 Verification Slip. Candidates who have completed document verification can now download the slip from the official KEA website and prepare for the upcoming option entry process.

The verification slip is one of the most important documents required during KCET counselling. It contains a candidate's verified personal, academic, and reservation details, along with a unique secret key and QR code that will be needed to access the option entry portal and participate in seat allotment.

According to KEA, students should download the verification slip as soon as possible and carefully review all the information mentioned on it. Any discrepancy in personal details, category information, or academic records should be reported immediately to avoid issues during counselling.

Why is the Verification Slip Important?

The verification slip serves as official confirmation that a candidate's documents have been successfully verified by KEA. It also acts as the gateway to the counselling process.

The slip includes:

  • Candidate's personal and academic details
  • Reservation and category information
  • Eligibility status
  • Secret alphanumeric key
  • QR code for authentication

Without this document, candidates will not be able to proceed with option entry and seat allotment.

Option Entry to Start After Seat Matrix Release

While the verification slip download link is now active, KEA has announced that the option entry process will begin shortly. The choice-filling portal will be activated after the Karnataka Government releases the official seat matrix.

The seat matrix will provide details about the number of seats available in various courses and colleges across the state, including:

  • Engineering
  • Pharmacy
  • Architecture
  • Agricultural Sciences
  • Allied Professional Courses

Once the option entry window opens, students can select and prioritize their preferred colleges and courses based on their rank and career goals.

How to Download the KCET 2026 Verification Slip

Candidates can follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the official KEA website.
  2. Click on the "UGCET 2026 Verification Slip" link.
  3. Enter your registration number, password, and captcha code.
  4. Verify the details displayed on the screen.
  5. Download and save the PDF for future reference.

What Should Candidates Do Next?

With counselling set to begin soon, students should not only download their verification slip but also start researching colleges, branches, placement records, and previous years' cut-offs. Being prepared in advance will help them make informed choices during option entry.

The release of the verification slip marks the official start of the KCET 2026 counselling journey. Candidates are advised to keep a close watch on KEA's official announcements for updates regarding the seat matrix, option entry schedule, and seat allotment rounds. For thousands of aspirants across Karnataka, the admission process has now entered its most crucial stage.
