The University of Delhi (DU) has released the list of candidates who have been allotted seats in the Postgraduate (PG) Upgrade Round on their official website at pgadmission.uod.ac.in. Students who have been given a new seat must agree to take it and pay the admission fee by July 23, 2026. The deadline is midnight on that day. The upgrade round is only open to students who already accepted a seat in a previous round. It allows them to move to a better preferred program or college. Those who are happy with their current seat don’t need to do anything in this round. Students must log in to the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) PG portal to check if they have been allotted a new seat. They need their CUET PG application number and password to log in.

How to Check the DU PG Upgrade Round Allotment 2026?

The status of your allotment is available on the CSAS PG dashboard. Follow these steps to check your upgraded seat:

  • Visit the official portal at pgadmission.uod.ac.in.
  • Click on the CSAS PG 2026 login link on the homepage.
  • Enter your CUET PG 2026 application number and password.
  • Open the seat allocation tab on the dashboard.
  • See the details of the upgraded program and college on the screen.
  • Download the allotment slip for future use.

How to Accept the Upgraded Seat and Pay the Fee?

Accepting the seat and making the payment are two separate steps. Both must be done before the deadline for the admission to be valid.

  1. Log in to the CSAS PG portal with your login details.
  2. Click on the accept option under the upgraded allotment.
  3. Review the fee breakdown displayed on the payment page.
  4. Pay the admission fee using net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
  5. Save the payment receipt after the transaction is successful.
  6. Once the seat is accepted and the fee is paid, the department will check the uploaded documents.
  7. Approval from the department confirms the upgraded admission.

What Happens if a Candidate Misses the Deadline?

If a student does not accept the upgraded seat by July 23, 2026, they will lose the new seat. Their previously confirmed admission from the earlier round will still be valid. No extra action is needed to keep the old seat. However, once a student accepts the upgraded seat, the previous allocation is automatically canceled. The upgrade cannot be reversed after that.

Action Plan for Candidates

  1. Log in to pgadmission.uod.ac.in to check if you have been given an upgraded seat.
  2. Compare the upgraded seat with your current confirmed admission.
  3. Accept the new seat via the dashboard if you decide to upgrade.
  4. Pay the admission fee online before midnight on July 23, 2026.
  5. Download and save the payment receipt and allotment slip.
  6. Track the status of the department's verification on the CSAS PG portal.
