Doon University (DU) has released the UG and PG merit lists for 2026. The university, located in Dehradun, made it available on its official website, doonuniversity.ac.in. Candidates who have been shortlisted are required to attend the counseling session on July 21 and 22, 2026. The counseling process will take place at the Doon University campus in Dehradun. The registration and fee payment process is open from July 20 to July 31. The first day of classes for new UG and PG students will be August 3, 2026. Admissions at Doon University are managed through the Samarth admissions portal. The merit lists cover various program, including language, science, engineering, and management for the academic year 2026-27.

The 2026 merit list includes undergraduate, postgraduate, and integrated program. Each programme has its own merit list PDF that can be found on the announcements page.

  • B.Sc. Streams: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Economics, Geography
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science
  • B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
  • M.Sc. programmes in science and social science streams
  • M.Tech, MBA, and other PG programmes

How Is the Merit List Made?

Doon University holds the Doon University Entrance Test (DUET) each year. The 2026 merit list is based on the scores from this test.The university applies category-wise reservation as per the norms of the state of Uttarakhand.Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the respective programme are included.Merit ranks determine the order of counselling and seat allocation.

How to View the Doon University Merit List 2026?

Candidates can check their results in a simple way:

  1. Go to the official website at doonuniversity.ac.in.
  2. Look for the News and Announcements section on the homepage.
  3. Click on the link for the merit list of the chosen program.
  4. Search for your name, roll number, or application ID.
  5. Download and save the PDF for future use.

What documents are needed for counseling?

Shortlisted candidates must bring original and self-attested copies of the following documents:

  1. Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
  2. Graduation mark sheets and degree, if applying for PG programmes
  3. DUET 2026 admit card and scorecard
  4. Government-issued photo ID such as Aadhaar or passport
  5. Category certificate, if applicable
  6. Recent passport-sized photographs
  7. Fee payment receipt from online registration

What Takes Place During Counseling?

Counselling is a step for document verification and seat confirmation. University officials will check original certificates against the merit list rank. Selected candidates will be given a provisional seat allotment on the spot. They then need to complete the online registration and pay the program fee. Missing the counseling slot may lead to losing the seat.

How to Finish Registration and Pay the Fee?

  1. After counseling, selected candidates must confirm their seat online.
  2. Log in to the Samarth admissions portal using your registered credentials. 
  3. Complete the registration form and upload the required documents. 
  4. Pay the fee through net banking, UPI, or card. 
  5. The registration and fee payment window is open until July 31, 2026.

Steps for Candidates

  1. Check your name on the merit list at doonuniversity.ac.in.
  2. Gather all original and self-attested documents.
  3. Arrive at the Doon University campus on July 21 or 22.
  4. Complete the counseling and note your seat allotment.
  5. Log in to the Samarth portal and pay the fee.
  6. Save the fee receipt and report on August 3, 2026.
