Candidates can check their allotted institute and course by logging in with their JAM 2026 enrolment ID and password. The portal shows the seat type, category, and gender details. New candidates who have been allotted a seat must complete two steps to keep their seat. First, they need to pay the seat acceptance fee using the online payment system. Second, they must upload all required documents on the candidate portal. Both payment and document upload deadlines are given in the schedule. CCMN is a centralised admission process for postgraduate science courses. It includes more than 20 NITs and three CFTIs. Admission is based on the IIT JAM 2026 score and rank.

How To check the Round 2 Seat Allotment

1. Log in using your JAM 2026 credentials.
2. Go to the official CCMN portal at ccmn.admissions.nic.in.
3. Click on the Round 2 seat allotment login link.
4. Enter your JAM 2026 enrolment ID and password.
5. Submit the captcha to access the candidate dashboard.
6. View the allotted institute, course, and seat category.
7. Download the provisional allotment letter for your records.

To confirm the allotted seat

1. Log in and select your willingness option for the allotted seat.
2. Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee through the online payment gateway.
3. Upload all required documents in the correct format and size.
4. Submit the application and download the confirmation receipt.

What are the float, slide, and freeze options?

Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 had three options to choose from. These affect how they are handled in Round 2. 

1. Freeze: The Round 1 seat is final. No upgrade is considered.
2. Slide: You stay at the same institute, but you might get a higher-preference course.
3. Float: You are open to any better institute or course.

Candidates who chose Float or Slide may get an upgrade in round 2. They don’t have to pay the seat acceptance fee again. The payment made earlier applies to the new allotment.

2. Compare the course you’ve been allotted with your previous preferences.
3. Choose Freeze, Slide, or Float as your willingness option.
