If you don’t confirm before this date, you will lose the seat and won’t be eligible for the provisional allotment. TANCET is held every year by Anna University for admissions to MBA and MCA programs across Tamil Nadu. The counseling process is managed centrally by the DoTE through the tn-mbamca portal.

3. On your dashboard, find the section for the tentative allotment.
4. Check the college and program you have been given, based on your rank.
5. Click the confirm button to accept your tentative seat.
6. Download the confirmation slip for your records.
7. After confirmation, you will receive the provisional allotment order through the same login. 

You must then follow the instructions for self-reporting and paying the first installment of fees as outlined on the portal.

What Happens If You Don’t Confirm by August 7?

If you do not confirm your seat by the deadline, it is considered a withdrawal, and your seat will be put back into the available slots. You will no longer be able to claim that seat later. Students who miss this deadline can still participate in the supplementary counseling. It will be held offline for MBA candidates on August 7 and 8, 2026, at GCT Coimbatore as per the official schedule.
