On August 8, 2026, the CET Cell announced a two-day extension to allow more colleges to complete the required approvals from the Bar Council of India (BCI) and their respective university affiliations. As part of the updated CAP list, 98 new colleges have been added. The number of colleges offering the 3-year LLB program has increased from 93 to 146, while the number of colleges offering the 5-year LLB program has increased from 56 to 101. Across both programs, the CAP list now includes 247 colleges.
