Candidates can apply through the official website at rgipt.ac.in. The spot round is for the seats that were not filled in the previous counselling rounds. Registration for this round is now open on the RGIPT admissions portal from August 4, 2026. RGIPT is an Institute of National Importance established under an Act of Parliament in 2007. The institute has campuses in Amethi (Jais), Bengaluru, and Sivasagar.

Who Is Eligible for the RGIPT Spot Round?
 

Eligibility for the spot round depends on the program the candidate is applying for. Each program has its own entrance exam and academic requirements.

BTech Program

Candidates must have a valid JEE Advanced 2026 rank and a minimum of 60% in Class 12. The Class 12 requirement is 55% for SC, ST, and PwD categories.

MBA Program

Candidates must have a graduation degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. They also need a valid score from CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, or GMAT.

BBA and MSc Programs

Eligibility is based on the RGIPT norms for each program. Applicants should check the detailed brochure on the website before starting the application process.

5. Fill the application form with your academic and personal details.

7. Pay the application fee online using one of the available payment methods.
8. Submit the form and download the confirmation copy for your records.
