The Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery conducts two tests as follows, to shortlist students for its courses:General Ability Test (GAT) - This test is conducted to assess the general reasoning ability, learning capacity, observational skills, and problem-solving abilities of an applicant.Design Ability Test (DAT) - This test aims to filter out the candidates having the required visual ability, creative thinking, and logical reasoning skills essential to understand and pursue the courses.Both tests consist of a total of 50 questions. These questions are divided into 5 sections including Logo Identification, Picture Analogies in Design Ability, and Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation - General Knowledge, and True/False of 2 marks each.Students who qualify for both exams are called for a one-on-one interview with the expert panel.
