The Xavier School of Management, also known as XLRI has officially released that the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2025 will be held on January 5, 2025. Organisations that seek to groom aspiring candidates to secure their spot in top management programs should bear in mind that this year has saw some changes in the examination pattern.

- Mode of Exam: OCT (CBT)

Major Changes in XAT 2025 Exam Pattern
- Sectional Time Limit Introduced: Every section will now have a fixed number of minutes allowing a candidate to apply time management skills properly.
- Reduced Number of Questions: There are a few questions less this year partly in a bid to ensure that they are of higher quality.
- Revised Weightage for General Knowledge (GK): There has also been change in the quantitative allocation of general knowledge section.
- Updated Marking Scheme: Introduced changes for a reduction in negative marking for unattempted questions is from a certain number upwards.
- Total Questions Reduced: From 101 to 95 MCQs
- Exam Duration: 180 minutes (This time has been down from 210 minutes that were previously taken).
- Part 1: 170 minutes (Main Sections)
- Part 2: 10 minutes can be devoted to General Knowledge perhaps of the current affairs.
- Erased Analytical Essay Writing (AEW)
- General Knowledge Section Trimmed:
- Now it is possible to answer 20 questions (before it was 25).
- 12 current affairs questions
- 8 static GK questions
