GITAM Deemed to be University has announced that the Round 4 registration process for the undergraduate (UG) and the postgraduate (PG) admissions for the academic session of 2026-27 is currently open. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website before the last date, May 29, 2026.

Courses at GITAM University

The university is offering admission to more than 120 programmes in various fields including engineering, management, science, pharmacy, law, humanities, medical sciences, nursing, physiotherapy, and other disciplines. Students who wish to secure admission are advised to complete the application process as early as possible.

GITAM ADMISSION TEST (GAT)

According to the university schedule, the GITAM Admission Test (GAT) and personal interviews for all the undergrad and postgrad programmes will be conducted on May 31, 2026. The results will also be announced on the same day. Candidates selected under scholarship categories must complete their fee payment by June 8, 2026, which is also the final date for admission.

The application fee depends on the course selected by the student. Candidates applying for UG Engineering and PG Management programmes must pay ₹1,200 as the application fee. For all other UG and PG programmes, including Architecture, Pharmacy, Science, Law, Humanities, Medical Sciences, Nursing, and Paramedical courses, the application fee is ₹600.

How does GAT look like?

The GITAM Admission Test is conducted in online Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and lasts for 150 minutes. The exam contains objective-type multiple-choice questions divided into two sections. Each correct answer carries two marks, and there is no negative marking.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To apply for undergraduate programmes, students must have passed Class 12th or equivalent with at least 60% marks. CBSE and ICSE students require a minimum of 55%. For postgraduate programmes, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or a 5.0 CGPA from a recognised university.

Candidates can apply by going to the official GITAM admission portal and completing the registration process using their personal and academic credentials. Applicants must upload scanned copies of important documents such as mark sheets, degree certificates, and valid photo ID proof.

After successful registration, candidates can download their GAT admit card from the official portal using their login credentials. The admit card is compulsory for appearing in the examination hall and must be carried along with a valid photo ID.

COUNSELLING PROCESS AND SEAT ALLOCATION

Students who qualify in the entrance test and interview process will be invited for the counselling process and seat allocation based on merit and programme availability. Candidates are advised to carefully follow all exam instructions and complete the admission process before the deadline.
